Screencast Video

The teachers create screencast videos to deliver their lectures, it can help to communicate with more clarity . Popular uses in education include: Recording procedures and answering frequently asked questions; Giving students audio-visual feedback; Recording lessons that students can access anytime, anywhere; Making a video to help guest teacher and students if the teacher has to miss class.

We had to create our screencast video "My Case Web 2.0" where we showed our results in using the web services.

A mind map is a diagram used to visually outline information. A mind map is often created around a single word or text, placed in the center, to which associated ideas, words and concepts are added. Major categories radiate from a central node, and lesser categories are sub-branches of larger branches. Categories can represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items related to a central key word or idea.

Mind maps can be drawn by hand, either as "rough notes" during a lecture or meeting, for example, or as higher quality pictures when more time is available. An example of a rough mind map is illustrated.

Mind maps are considered to be a type of spider diagram.

There exist many sites, programmes for creating mind maps. The easiest one is bubbl.us

Bubbl.us is a Web 2.0 tool that enables users to create mind mapping and brainstorming diagrams online. To begin, the main topic/concept is entered in to the parent bubble. Then ideas and thoughts are recorded in colorful text bubbles linked to the parent bubble. Users continue to add text bubbles which are color coded according to hierarchy.

For teachers and students it is usuful as all information is visualized and easy to understand. 

Word Cloud in education

Meaning of the name

A tag cloud (word cloud, or weighted list in visual design) is a visual representation for text data, typically used to depict keyword metadata (tags) on websites, or to visualize free form text. Tags are usually single words, and the importance of each tag is shown with font size or color. This format is useful for quickly perceiving the most prominent terms and for locating a term alphabetically to determine its relative prominence. When used as website navigation aids, the terms are hyperlinked to items associated with the tag. Teachers can use this service to distinguish the most important (key) words in the text.

Social Bookmarking

There exist many different social bookmarking websites as Facebook, Diigo and others. Here is presented Delicious. Social bookmarking and social news allow you to specifically target what you want to see. The websites of this sorts fasilitate the students' and teachers' work in finding and using information. As it is SOCIAL bookmarking students can share links, use tags to more useful  find information.
